Here's the before ~
And the Result ~
Here it is displayed on the mantle ~
I still haven't decided if I want to keep it black or put a coat of red or burgundy over it. The black makes whatever I sit on it really pop, so for now it's staying black. This is really all I have for Valentine's Day decorations. Perhaps I will start keeping an eye open for a few "heart" items at Goodwill that need a good "updating" ~ LOL!
How about all of you? Do you decorate lots for Valentine's Day?
I think I posted about this a while back....I have 3....THREE....items for Valentines day. Not 3 boxes....just 3 items. lol. I've been busy crafting, though, so I have added a few since that post.....I may be up to 5 now. Perhaps a Hobby Lobby run on February 15th?? Should be 1/2 off by then.....The mantel looks great!
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, I have Dollar store roses in a vase on the dining room table with some baby's breath and some pink beaded glass hearts from Jo-Ann's a couple of years ago. Heart garland in the doorway of the dining room/living room and anything red leftover from Christmas. Poinsettas, candles...Wait for the sales next Tues and you'll be ready for next year. lol!!!!
